Police have charged a woman suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service appealed to the public for assistance after the Jan. 12 collision at the intersection of Memorial Avenue and the Harbour Expressway after a pickup truck rear-ended a Hyundai Elantra.

The truck, a black Dodge, fled the scene and was found at a nearby home shortly afterwards.

A 24-year-old Thunder Bay woman has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of failing to remain at the scene of a crash.

Despite the damage sustained, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

The suspect appeared in court during the weekend and has been released in advance of her next scheduled court appearance on Feb. 25.
