Police release more details into first homicide investigation of 2014

More details are being released about the city’s first homicide investigation of 2014. Police say 35-year-old Jeffrey Munroe died Saturday after being stabbed at his Kingsway Avenue apartment during a domestic related altercation.

Police say 35-year-old Jeffrey Munroe died Saturday after being stabbed at his Kingsway Avenue apartment during a domestic related altercation.

Police say they belive alcohol was a factor.

Munroe was in severe medical distress when police responded at 7:45 a.m. and was rushed to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he died from  his injuries.

Priscilla Thomas, 38, has been charged with second-degree murder.

She appeared in court on the weekend and is now in custody with a court date scheduled for Thursday.

The investigation is still ongoing.
