Work crews continue to repair a water main break at the ServiceOntario building on James Street on Friday morning.
The main Service Ontario building in this city remains closed.
The James Street building, known to many as mini Queen's Park, was closed to the public for the third straight day Friday following a water main break earlier in the week.
While the building was initially expected to open Thursday or Friday, crews have had difficulties completing the necessary repairs.
“Work crews have been on the site since Tuesday evening working to locate and repair the break,” said Bill Moore, manager of corporate communications with Infrastructure Ontario.
“At this point in time the leak has been located and repair work is underway but due to the deep frost penetration progress has been slow.”
Only emergency services communication staff have been operating in the building as a result.
However, Moore is optimistic it will be business as usual for the entire building come the start of next week.
“We are optimistic the building will reopen for business on Monday,” he said.
