THUNDER BAY -- The Canada Games Complex was briefly evacuated Saturday afternoon due to concerns of a chemical spill.
Officials with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue say the city-run facility was evacuated shortly after 3 p.m. when a chemical issue was discovered in a water line leading to the hot tub.
Undiluted industrial bleach is reported to be the cause and fire officials say it was a maintenance issue and the evacuation was just following safety protocol.
