A Thunder Bay man was killed in the Negril region of Jamaica in a cliff-diving incident.
KINGSTON, Jamaica - Police say a Thunder Bay vacationer has died after jumping off seaside cliffs in a western Jamaican beach town and hitting rocks.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force on Wednesday said 26-year-old Taylor Rankin was diving with friends around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday when he miscalculated his jump. He died in hospital.
Rankins was believed to be in the Caribbean country for a wedding. He is the son of former Shelter House director Cal Rankin.
Jamaican police say an investigation is ongoing.
