TRAFFIC: Highway 17 re-opens at Jackfish River Bridge

THUNDER BAY — Highway 17 has re-opened. Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation, in a statement released to media, confirmed the re-opening of the highway, which closed Tuesday for emergency construction.

Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation, in a statement released to media, confirmed the re-opening of the highway, which closed Tuesday for emergency construction.

In its news release to media, the MTO says drivers will encounter single lane restrictions controlled by traffic light operations while the Jackfish River Bridge as it remains under construction. 

The MTO is asking drivers to be patience as construction crews  continue to work. The MTO is also reminding motorists to obey the speed limit for the safety of both workers and drivers.
