THUNDER BAY - A man charged with murder in connection with a fatal incident at a city apartment complex had his case delayed while his lawyer waits for full disclosure from the Crown.
Randel Wabasse, 23, was charged with second-degree murder and breach of probation following a stabbing at Andras Court, a South Cumberland Street apartment complex, on May 14.
Police were called to the scene just after 8 a.m. and discovered a severely injured male.
The victim, 46-year-old Adam Nicodemus Beaver of Thunder Bay, was rushed to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and was pronounced dead.
Wabasse appeared in person at the Thunder Bay Courthouse Friday morning and was remanded until Aug. 1.
Defence lawyer George Joseph said he had received some disclosure, but was still waiting on items such as forensic reports and interviews.
Wabasse remains in custody.
A second person was arrested by police immediately after the incident but was released; they were not identified or charged.
