A Kuusisto Road residence was razed to the ground early Thursday morning

A blaze that lit the night sky early Thursday morning has destroyed a Kuusisto Road home.

A firefighter on scene said he didn’t believe anyone was hurt in the fire, which reduced the home, located near the border between Ware Township and Oliver Paipoonge, to a mass of charred timbers.

Firefighters arrived on scene to a fully engulfed structure, and were unable to save the residence.

It’s not known whether or not the residents were home at the time the fire broke out.

Fire crews from several townships were called to the scene and were still battling the blaze at 2 a.m.
