THUNDER BAY -- Due to extreme weather conditions, all rural and urban school transportation has been canceled for Monday.
Early morning freezing rain has led to poor road conditions, which led to the cancellation notice. Originally only rural routes had been canceled, but later Monday morning road conditions worsened and the cancellation expanded.
The morning cancellations will also affect afternoon services.
In addition to transportation cancellations, the following Lakehead Public School are closed:
- Crestview
- Five Mile
- Gorham Ware
- Kakabeka Falls
- McKenzie
- Nor’wester View
- Whitefish Valley
- Valley Central
Busing for all Lakehead Public School secondary students from these
areas is also cancelled..
All other schools are open and students are expected to attend
