Charges expected Tuesday in teen joyride turned serious crash

THUNDER BAY -- The investigation continues into a teenage joyride that turned into a serious car crash over the weekend. The incident took place at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Fort William First Nations.

The incident took place at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Fort William First Nations.

Police says charges are expected to be laid Tuesday following the collision between a car and a hydro poll on Chippewa Road.

The 14-year-old driver lost control of the car, sending it into a power line pole at a high speed. 

There were four male passengers in the vehicle, all around the same age. 

All five suffered injuries ranging from minor to very serious.
