THUNDER BAY -- After a few delays, a new hotel in the Intercity area is set to open its doors within the next few weeks.
The new Holiday Inn Express is located on Carrick Street, off the Harbour Expressway.
On the outside, it looks ready for guests, but on the inside contractors are still busy working to get the 88 guest rooms completed.
The hotel's manager says the only thing left to do is finishing touches. Derek Jones told TBT News on Wednesday that he expects the opening to be sometime in mid-December.
The hotel was originally set for opening earlier this month, but Jones says construction was delayed by the severity of the last winter.
