Gas Watch: Per litre low $1.059, high $1.169

THUNDER BAY -- The city’s cheapest gas-per-litre price fell modestly overnight, while the highest price on record shaw a more drastic reduction Wednesday morning.

THUNDER BAY -- The city’s cheapest gas-per-litre price fell modestly overnight, while the highest price on record shaw a more drastic reduction Wednesday morning.

The most local motorists could expect to pay for fuel by Wednesday morning was $1.059, where the Superstore continued to sell the cheapest regular gasoline in Thunder Bay.  Meanwhile, the most a local motorist could expect to pay was $1.169 at the Esso on Dawson and Mapleward Roads or the Esso on John Street Road and Valley Street.

That $1.169 is a significant reduction to the $1.21-high reported a day earlier.  This is according to the online gas price watchdog ontariogasprices.com.

Motorists who aren’t going out of their way for the cheapest fuel in town can expect to pay between $1.095 to $1.109.  A few gas bars are reporting prices slightly higher than that, between $1.129 and $1.159.

Motorists in neighbouring Fort William First Nations are paying as little as 90-cents-per-litre for fuel as of Wednesday morning, with the most expensive price reported in that community being 97.9-cents.
