THUNDER BAY -- The daily price drops for fuel in this city stalled Thursday morning.

As of 7:30 a.m. the lowest fuel price on record in the city remained at the Superstore where regular gas was being sold at $1.059, the same price recorded a day earlier.  Meanwhile, the highest priced gas bars -- the Esso Dawson and Mapleward Roads and the Esso at John Street Road and Valley Street -- maintained the city’s highest price on record at $1.169.

Those prices are according to the online gas price watchdog ontariogasprices.com.

Despite the seemingly unchanged prices, ontariogasprices.com still reports that gas prices overall in Ontario are trending downwards.

Motorists who aren’t targeting gas bars based on price can expect to pay between $106.9 per-litre to $1.109, with a select few gas bars selling fuel just outside of that price range.

Meanwhile, motorists filling up in neighbouring Fort William First Nations were paying prices as low as 90.5 cents-a-litre. That was the price listed at K&A Variety and Gas Bar, the cheapest on record as of Thursday morning.

Other gas bars in that community were selling fuel at 91.5-cents to 99-cents-per-litre.
