THUNDER BAY -- Police have arrested a suspect after finding the city's 11th murder victim of the year Sunday morning.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to an address on Secord Street at about 2 a.m. and found the body of a 62-year-old man.

That sparked an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Branch and detectives arrested a 45-year-old woman at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

A media release from police said the victim and accused are known to each other and that alcohol appears to be a factor.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed in Toronto Monday and police are not disclosing cause of death. The identities of the victim and suspect are also being withheld.

The suspect has been charged with second degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
