THUNDER BAY -- An overnight blaze has caused extensive damage to a north side residential garage.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews responded to calls to the fire on College Street shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday night and found flames completely engulfing the detached structure.
Firefighters first worked to keep the fire from spreading before working to extinguish the blaze. Officials say there were able to control the fire quickly, eliminating the danger from flammable gas containers stored inside the garage
The garage appears to be gutted and many of the contents inside suffered major damage.
The cause has not yet been determined.
