Eabametoong First Nation man charged with manslaughter in death of 52-year-old man

A 52-year-old man is dead following an altercation in Eabametoong First Nation. OPP say Donald Sugarhead was transported to hospital on Monday after getting into a fight with another male in the remote fly-in community.

OPP say Donald Sugarhead was transported to hospital on Monday after getting into a fight with another male in the remote fly-in community.

Norman Yellowhead, 48, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter and is expected to appear in court on Friday.

Police say an autopsy has been conducted, but the results aren’t being released at this time.

Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, with the assistance of the OPP, is investigating the death and is asking anyone with information to phone OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
