An unwanted persons call has Thunder Bay Police Service officers facing a special investigations unit investigation.

An unwanted persons call has Thunder Bay Police Service officers facing a special investigations unit investigation.

Police say they arrived at a West Frederica Street apartment early Saturday afternoon, where they located and removed an intoxicated 23-year-old female from the building. A 20-year-old man, also believed to be intoxicated, was located in the lobby, who is believed to have sustained injuries jumping from the window of the apartment unit in question.

The man was taken to hospital for medical attention.

Because the injury occurred while police were on scene, the SIU was called in to investigate.
