OPP News release:
(RED LAKE, ON) – On April 14, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m. the Red Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed that at approximately 1:00 am a male had forced his way into a residence on Howey Bay Road within the Municipality of Red Lake. After gaining entry, the suspect assaulted the female resident and stole alcohol from the residence.
Randy Kurahara, 21 years old from Red Lake has been charged with Robbery with Violence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Kurahara is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on May 28, 2015.
