Woman trapped in pickup truck freed by firefighters after crash

THUNDER BAY – A woman had to be extricated from her pick-up truck after an afternoon crash Wednesday. The crash took place just after 4 p.m. on a busy West Arthur Street, near the Twin City Crossroads intersection.

THUNDER BAY – A woman had to be extricated from her pick-up truck after an afternoon crash Wednesday.

The crash took place just after 4 p.m. on a busy West Arthur Street, near the Twin City Crossroads intersection.

It appears a silver SUV was heading eastbound on Arthur Street when it collided with a black truck, which appeared to be turning onto the westbound lane. 

The pickup truck ended up on its side, and fire crews received reports that an injured woman was trapped inside. 

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue managed to free the woman, who was then taken to hospital.

The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.
