Firefighters off to Montana amid quiet forest fire season at home

THUNDER BAY -- Fire season continues to be slow in our region with two new blazes being reported Monday. According to Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources, both new fires are under control and relatively small.

According to Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources, both new fires are under control and relatively small.

Meanwhile, 108 personnel were sent to Montana Monday to help with firefighting efforts there.

Ontario is also supplying equipment across the prairies.
