WEATHER: Summer’s back just in time for ribs

THUNDER BAY – After a week that started with more autumn-like weather, the forecast for the next five days shows a return to seasonal temperatures.

According to Environment Canada’s forecast, Thunder Bay residents can expect a mix of sun and clouds for the next couple of days with daytime highs reaching 23C, 25C and 25C on Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively.

Sunday, meanwhile, could reach temperatures of 29C with cloud and sun mixing for the day.

This is good news for the Waterfront District’s annual Ribfest, which kicks off this Friday, Aug, 28 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 30.

Monday through Wednesday of next week may feature some showers, but daytime highs are expected to remain at about 27 C or 26 C.
