Cocaine, bath salts, mushrooms and pot snagged in Westfort search (VIDEO)

A search on Thursday of Westfort residence led Thunder Bay Police to a drug and weapons bust.

In a release issued on Friday, police say their investigation in the 1900 block of W. Frederica Street netted them a small amount of cash, 69 oxycodone pills, 68 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, 15 grams of magic mushrooms and 64 grams of bath salts, with a combined street value of $15,670.

An imitation handgun, three expandable batons and a credit-card knife were also taken.

Joshua Trotz, 27, of Thunder Bay faces a number of drug charges related to the seizures, as well as charges of weapons possession for a dangerous purpose, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and a breach of recognizance.

The suspect was remanded into custody until Sept. 8.

None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
