(RED LAKE, ON) – Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult female driver with impaired driving.
On February 28, 2016 at 1:50 p.m. Red Lake OPP received a complaint of an impaired driver in Balmertown. Officers located the 2006 Kia and driver. Following an investigation, officers determined the female driver was impaired.
A 40-year-old Red Lake woman is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Millilitres of Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in Red Lake Court, March 31, 2016. The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and she was issued a mandatory drivers licence suspension.
