THUNDER BAY – City police have one man in custody following a Thursday afternoon crack bust.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials on Saturday confirmed April 28 arrest.

Police say on that day officers from the force’s drugs and gang unit searched a home in the 200 block of Egan Street.

Police say they’ve received a number of complaints about the “negative effect” this residence was having on the neighbhourhood.

The search resulted in the seizure of crack cocaine that featured a potential street value of $3,600.

A 46-year-old man was charged with possession of cocaine, breach of recognizance and breach of probation.

The accused remains in police custody.
