Fire ban rescinded in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY -- A fire ban in place for the past several days in Thunder Bay has been lifted.

THUNDER BAY -- A fire ban in place for the past several days in Thunder Bay has been lifted.

Recent wet and cool weather, including snow flurries over the weekend, dampened conditions enough to allow residents to return to burning, as long as they have a permit to do so where necessary.

"We appreciate the community’s cooperation and will advise if there are any further changes to the status of the permits," fire chief John Hay said in a release issued Monday.
