SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- A 14-year-old girl faces charges of impaired driving after a weekend joyride in a stolen van.
Officials with the Dryden detachment of the OPP say the 14-year-old girl drove a stolen van from Sioux Lookout to Wabigoon, which is about 80 kilometres away, Saturday.
The girl was with a 12-year-old passenger at the time.
Both girls have been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
The 14-year-old accused also faces a charge of impaired driving and assaulting a peace officer.
Neither accused can be named in accordance with Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
