Murder victim revealed, second suspect charged

THUNDER BAY – Police have identified the 18-year-old victim in the city’s fourth murder of the year.

Brent Donio, 18, was killed in a vicious assault outside a Windsor Street housing complex just after midnight on Wednesday, the Thunder Bay Police Service confirmed Thursday afternoon.

A charge of second-degree murder has been laid against 26-year-old Clinton Nicholas Netemegesic of Thunder Bay, who turned himself into police Wednesday afternoon.

Netemegesic appeared in court earlier Thursday and remains in custody.

Police had previously arrested 18-year-old Cecil Todd Matinet faces a single count of second-degree murder.

Matinet was arrested at a Blucher Street home shortly after the fatal incident.

He appeared in court on Wednesday and remains in custody.

An autopsy was conducted in Toronto on Thursday but the results are not being released.
