Ottawa man arrested for trafficking pills

THUNDER BAY – An Ottawa man is in custody and facing drug charges after Thunder Bay Police responded to a disturbance on Friday outside a Picton Avenue residence.

THUNDER BAY – An Ottawa man is in custody and facing drug charges after Thunder Bay Police responded to a disturbance on Friday outside a Picton Avenue residence.

In a release issued on Monday, police say an intoxicated male was spotted walking northbound on Picton Avenue near Red River Road.

A further investigation revealed he was allegedly carrying more than 1,000 pills, believed to include alprazolam, oxycontin and percocet.

He also had more than $2,600 in cash on his person.

The 29-year-old man was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and proceeds of crime under $5,000
