THUNDER BAY -- Negotiations between the Thunder Bay Catholic District School board, and the union representing nearly 400 elementary teachers will start again this week.

The two sides broke negotiations for the summer in June, but will meet again on Wednesday.

This time with the help of a provincially-appointed conciliator.

The two sides are trying to come to terms for a local collective agreement for the years 2014 to 2017.

Union president Aldo Grillo said there are no monetary terms left to negotiate locally, and remaining talks are related how experience is handled, when it comes to job postings for teachers.

OECTA represents 380 elementary Catholic teachers in 18 schools in Thunder Bay.

The union is in a legal strike position, and began a work-to-rule campaign in June.

The union said if talks break off, those work-to-rule sanctions could increase when school resumes next week.
