THUNDER BAY -- It's been a growing problem in British Columbia and other parts of Canada and now, Fentanyl has made its to Thunder Bay.

The drug is prescribed as a legal painkiller and is 50-to-100 times more potent than morphine.

Thunder Bay Police recently made a seizure of four thousand pills being marketed as Percocets.

Staff Sergeant Ryan Gibson said the drug is not only addictive, but is hard to identify and extremely easy to overdose on.

Gibson added that in some areas, Fentanyl has replaced other mainstream drugs like heroin as a cheaper alternative.
