Area cop to receive bravery medal

A Fort Frances OPP officer is among a group receiving bravery medals Thursday from the Governor General.
Const. Dan Bailey was off duty in Elgin, Ont. in August of 2006, when he rescued two women from an overturned burning vehicle.
One of the women later succumbed to her injuries.
Bailey and 46-others will receive the honour in a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
