THUNDER BAY -- Shelter House is getting a boost from students at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

More than  $9,300 is being given to Shelter House after students raised funds during their Holiday Concert.

Organizing Committee Member Krista Clark says one of the schools mandates is to give back to the community.

"We sent out a poll to the student body listing many different charitable organizations within Thunder Bay," Clark said.

"Shelter House came out in the lead. The student body really recognized the good the Shelter House does for the community."

Money was raised through sponsorship, concert ticket sales and raffles.
