Charity comedy tour delivers laughs and food

Nearly 1,200 people spend the evening laughing for a worthy cause,at the 10th annual Investors Group Comedy Tour Tuesday.

The packed ballroom at the Valhalla was roaring with laughter, and the coat check area was brimming with food that will soon stock shelves at the Shelter House.

Three comedians performed before a full house and the food donations stacked up quickly. A

lmost two tonnes of food was raised for the Shelter House and Investors Group kicked in an extra $1,000 to sweeten the pot.

Investors Group Regional Director Herp Lamba was please that they almost doubled their goal for amount of food raised.

The National Food for Thought campaign is taking the comedy tour to 51 locations across Canada while raising donations for food banks.
