Students in Grades 4 to 6 across the city had a chance to show off their creative side Thursday at the ninth annual Arts Fiesta.

This year's theme, Catch a Dream, brought hundreds of students together to showcase artwork in several areas.

The Community Arts and Heritage Education Project brings in artists to the schools, and a few short months later the students pieces are placed on display.

Organizer Alana Forslund said this year's fiesta brings visual arts, performances and music to the stage.

The students get a hands-on experience to work with artists, and Forslund says the day brings out their individuality.

This year, 20 classes took part in the event, and Forslund said it continues to grow each year.
