Thunder Bay – The Thunder Bay Chill Under 15 Girls defeated the North Toronto Nitro’s 4-0 in a quarterfinal showdown at Chapples Park Monday night in front of 457 spectators.

Rylie Paul was first to get the team on the scoreboard at the five-minute mark with a shot outside the 18-yard box that went over the Nitro’s goalkeeper. Aliviah Galle, Ellie Favot and Rylie Paul’s second of the game secured the win. The Nitro’s pushed at times during the game, but Chill goalkeeper Phoenix DeBrusk denied all to earn the shutout for the Chill.

The girls will now head south to Oshawa, Ontario where the Burlington Force will be the next opponent in one of the semi-final games on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. The other semi-final will see London play Guelph with the final scheduled for Sept. 10.

The club would like to thank all the Reserve teams, parents, friends, and families for the support last night. It was a wonderful atmosphere for our girls to play in front of so many spectators.
