Health Unit announces new COVID-19 case in Thunder Bay area

Latest case a woman in her 20s who is self-isolating.

THUNDER BAY -- After more than three weeks without a confirmed reported case, the Thunder Bay District is COVID-19-free no longer. 

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Thursday announced the area's 104th case since the pandemic began, the first since late August. 

The individual is a female in her 20s with no known exposure category. She is self isolating somewhere in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas. 

To date there have been 104 cases, with 102 of them resolved and one death.
