THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Public Library is slowly working its way back to being a full-service operation.

On Thursday Library officials said in a release they plan to move to Stage 5 on Sept. 8, which will allow no-contact holds pick-up and returns at all four library locations. Free, no-contact faxing, scanning and photocopying will be allowed at all four locations as well.

Holds can be placed online at www.tbpl.ca, or by phoning 345-8275.

“Library members will receive an email or a phone call when an item they have on hold becomes available. Holds can be picked up Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” the release reads.

No timeline has yet been given on the move from Phase 5 to Phase 6.

Staff will be offering collections, service and programs online through all seven phases of the TBPL’s reopening plan.
