UPDATE: Trailer park fire destroys three trailers (3 photos)

Two trailers, and five vehicles were completely engulfed, while another trailer was damaged beyond repair.

GORHAM, Ont. -- A fire in Gorham Township engulfed and destroyed three trailers, and at least five vehicles, leaving two families homeless.

East Gorham Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of a structural fire on North Branch Road at approximately 12:30 a.m on Sunday.

Ontario Provincial Police confirmed the occupants of the trailers were uninjured.

Chief firefighter Ted Post said about twenty emergency personnel were called to the fire. He said seven firefighters initially responded, and then volunteer crews from Lappe and Shuniah assisted to put out the blaze.

A family whose residence was involved in the fire said they have been without power and water since the blaze was put out.

OPP confirmed to tbnewswatch they've provided the families affected with a place to stay, in coordination with Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
