The Occupy Wall Street phenomena is coming to Thunder Bay.
The anti-greed and financial corruption protests, which began in the heart of New York’s financial district, have spread around the world in recent days, with planned demonstration and sit-ins in major cities across Canada.
On Saturday it will be Thunder Bay’s turn.
“On Saturday, Oct. 15 we take to the streets to show our solidarity with the global movement,” writes an administrator on the group’s Facebook page. “We can effect change in our city and our country, the beginning is near.
“We will have an open forum (and) general assembly to discuss the issues that affect our government, our economy, our environment and anything else that concerns us.”
The protest will take part at Waverly Park and Bay Street, and is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
