A Fort Frances couple who family thought went missing in Texas has been found alive and well.

Weslaco, Texas police, who had put out a state-wide alert for Bruce and Linda Stewart, on Sunday confirmed the missing couple had been located in Roma, Texas, about 195 kilometres west of Weslaco. Family in Ontario hadn't heard from the Stewarts since a Dec. 15 Facebook post, which was unusual son Derek Marshall told a Texas television station.

The Stewarts had checked into an RV park north of Weslaco, but left in late December.

Something people might find helpful when traveling in the U.S. is to have a TBayTel toll-free tel # at their home (if anyone is staying at your home), or ask one of your children to get one. They cost nothing, just pay (possibly a slightly higher) long distance call rate.
A calling card is useful, but so many numbers to punch in. Necessary though if you don't have the "toll-free".
Cell phones don't always work due to no coverage, and can be VERY expensive to use in U.S. We did the toll-free idea, and just call home every few days when we travel to a new destination. You can use a pay phone, no change needed, or a hotel phone with no charges (say you dialed a toll-free #).

Be a "responsible parent" and let your kids know where you are! You may be glad they do if you run into trouble.

Finally...some good good news, I am sooo happy for the families involved, and for all the places that helped with the findings of a safe healthy couple!!!!
