Fire causes major damage to Sandy Lake school

A fire on Sandy Lake has left the community’s school with extensive damage.
Early Sunday afternoon the local police received a call indicating that Thomas Fiddler Memorial School was on fire.
The fire department arrived on scene and put out the fire, which left behind severe smoke, fire and water damage.
No injuries were reported and the investigation into the blaze continues.
Sandy Lake is located about 600 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
