The teen faces charges of arson and break and enter following the Feb. 19 blaze.

He cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

He is expected to appear in court on April 17 to answer the charges against him.

The school has had to be closed for the remainder of the school year due to the damage from the fire.

Seriously??? you two are surprised??? Where have you been, this kind of thing has been going on for years.. Do some research and you'll find a lot more stories like this.. Just a few months ago there was a news story about a father who lost all but one of his children in a fire. The story then went on to say the fire truck could not be used to fight the fire because it was vandalized as it was outside.. Why was it outside you ask? Because the firehall had burned down, and if you look into how it burned down, you will find the reason was arson..

I agree 100% with your comments Albert--doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.Arson seems to be the new norm in some places...I'm surprised the editor(s) let your comments thru, they usually delete anything remotely seen as racist or negative when it applies to stories about first nations. You've made a good point. And no, I'm not surprised in the least.

Are you serious...
I would love to see all the comments that never made it on this topic.
Things like this will never change unless there is an open line of communication started.
