Police in Fort Frances continue to search for the suspect of an armed robbery in that community.

Officers of the Fort Frances detachment of the OPP are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday, April 10 at about 10:20 p.m. The suspect entered the Safeway Gas Bar on Scott Street with what appeared to be a handgun.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled from the scene.

The OPP now has an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Joshua Enns, of Fort Frances.

The suspect is identified as a First Nations man with short brown hair. He stands about five-feet-11-inches tall and weighs about 198 pounds.

He is described as having an athletic build.

Police say that Enns is considered a risk to public safety.

Anyone who may know of the whereabouts of this suspect or happens to come into contact with the suspect is asked not to approach him. Instead, police say citizens should call 9-11 as soon as possible.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
