Man dies on Highway 11, medical condition cited as likely cause

A Southern Ontario man died suddenly on highway 11 near Beardmore Monday night.

Officers with the Nipigon detachment of the OPP responded after the 71-year-old driver went off the road and collapsed in his pick-up truck.

Officials say he died as a result of medical conditions and not the crash.

A portion of the highway was closed for several hours but has since been re-opened.
