Members of the Aroland First Nation held a demonstration at the end of Highway 643 in Greenstone this morning.

Members of the Aroland First Nation held a demonstration at the end of Highway 643 in Greenstone this morning.

Chief Sonny Gagnon says concerns over a lack of First Nation consultation and violations of treaty rights have caused First Nation leaders to revolt against Cliffs Natural Resources and the development of their Black Thor chromite deposit located within the Ring of Fire.

Gagnon says he's repeatedly communicated his concerns with both industry and government, and says neither have been listening.
