Man charged for pointing replica gun at people

Police charged a 27-year-old-man with possession of a weapon after he allegedly pointed a replica BB handgun at people.

Police charged a 27-year-old-man with possession of a weapon after he allegedly pointed a replica BB handgun at people.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a call on River Street at Madeline Street for a man pointing a handgun at people just before 11 p.m. on Friday. The gun turned out to be a replica BB handgun and the man was taken into custody without incident.

Police charged him with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and he will appear in court Saturday.

There were no injuries, police added.
