One man dead after two transport trucks collide on 11-17

Traffic was down to a single lane on a stretch of Highway 11-17 west of Nipigon Friday morning.

OPP officers are investigating a fatal collision that happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday.

Officials with the OPP say a 42-year-old Maple, Ont., man was pronounced dead following the crash between two transport trailers.

The two trucks involved in the crash were heading in opposite directions at the time of the crash.
