Suspected armed robber arrested

City police have arrested a suspect in connection with a recent pharmacy armed robbery.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say officers have arrested a suspect in connection with the Wednesday, June 20 robbery of Janzen’s Pharmacy in Westfort.

A 32-year-old man was taken into custody Thursday evening at about 6:40 p.m. following a traffic stop on the city’s south side.

The man had been charged with robbery with a weapon, wearing a disguise with intent, possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognizance.

The suspect is expected to make a court appearance Friday.

great arrest. C'mon Watkins Law....class action the cops, they knew this guy was a criminal and that he would likely re-ofend. Do this one on the cheap, say for a mere 30%.

When someone mentions bath salts, they aren't talking about the actual bath salts that the stores sell any more than someone who says 'snow' is talking about the white stuff that falls to the ground. It's just a cute name for a new drug.

Glad to hear they apprehended someone for the robbery. Kind of bewildered by the first six comments. If that's a sign of what higher education is...the world is in serious trouble.

This Cities Police are the best. Every time you drive around this City you see the police patrolling. I feel safe living here. Some cities in Canada they just respond to calls and take reports. Here they actually catch people.
