A motorcyclist has been sent to hospital with major injuries after a collision Saturday afternoon.

The motorcycle, which was carrying a passenger, collided with a pickup truck near the intersection of John Street and Junot Avenue around 2 p.m. The operator of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with major injuries while the passenger went to get checked out police say.

Charges are pending the result of the investigation.

Police need to seriously crack down speeding or we need to do away with speed limits altogether. What's the use of having a law that isn't enforced? At least if there aren't speed limits, people won't have the expectation that anyone will obey them!
