A man involved in a motorcycle crash on Oliver Road Friday night remains in critical condition.

While the Thunder Bay Police Service continues its investigation, preliminary findings shows the 27-year-old motorcyclist left the roadway and crashed.  He was taken by air ambulance to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he remains in intensive care.  A section of Oliver Road was closed between Mud Lake Road and Mining Road for several hours.

It has since re-opened.  Police say charges are pending following the completion of the investigation.

sayin a prayer says:
I hope this 27-year-old motorcyclist is recovering well.

So many potholes, so little time.

I certainly wish him the best of recovery....

but potholes? if charges are pending, I don't think the potholes (and there aren't any in the area in question) played a part...

reckless driving? maybe.. that part of Oliver has 2 big corners on it. wouldn't be surprised if he took a corner too fast and lost control..
